Project Engineer

NOA Design + Construction (NOA) is a fully integrated design and project management firm, and a general contractor. We specialize in the design and execution of high-end residential properties in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area.

ROLE

As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for supporting the PM team in overseeing the design and construction of high-end residential projects. You are proactive, a good team player, love to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.  You will work closely with our Site Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Designers, Project Operations/Accounting and other members of the NOA team to drive your projects to completion. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain control of all project documentation.

  • Maintain and distribute project plans.

  • Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.

  • Assist the project team with documenting job progress, schedule.

  • Manage and track RFI’s from the field to the Architect/Engineer of record.

  • Assist the Project Manager in submittal process from subcontractors to A/E for approval for all scopes of work based of the plans and specifications.

  • Assist the Project Manager/Superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule.

  • Responsible for understanding project plans and answering field personnel questions.

  • Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis; provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent, as appropriate.

  • Creating and distributing project closeout material, O and M manuals to owner once project is complete.

  • May coordinate change orders, expedite material and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.

Qualifications, Skills and Software

  • Graduate of a four-year degree program in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.

  • Knowledgeable in building systems and methodologies, finish schedules, drawing sets, and architectural details. Able to read Project plans and specifications.

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Able to efficiently interface with project team

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Project and MS Excel

  • Field Experience is required

  • Proficiency in Procore, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam preferred

  • High-end residential experience preferred

  • Must be US citizen, Permanent Resident or hold valid work visa

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 2+ years of experience
