We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Project Technician to join our team in San Francisco, CA.
As Project Technician, you are responsible for various carpentry and site protection works during the construction of our high-end residential projects, for upkeep and repair duties after completion and for coordination of works on ongoing maintenance projects. You are skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge are important parts of the successful candidates’ talents.
In return, you will have the opportunity to work alongside project managers and site supervisors on multiple high-end residential projects across San Francisco and beyond.
Perform basic hands-on carpentry like tasks on high-end residential projects at all stages of construction, including carpentry, drywall repair, door and hardware repairs, furniture assembly, painting and cleaning as required
Coordinate and managing sub contractors on small jobs, such as carpenters, cabinetmakers, appliance installers etc.
Perform basic plumbing, electrical and safety works if possible
Install temporary protection and safety measures and help keep job sites clean
Deliver materials from vendors or office to construction sites and similar tasks
Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
Work directly with site supervisors and the project management team
Qualifications, Skills and Software
Solid handyman type work skills and experience in carpentry work
Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
Good communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule with probable overtime, including some work on weekends
Ability to use mobile and desktop communications and basic scheduling software, such as google sheets & calendar
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ideally, you have your own car
Must be US citizen, Permanent Resident or hold valid work visa
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar role
